About the opportunity

We have an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual to work with a highly reputable and iconic community services organisation.

This role will make a tangible difference in people’s lives through helping them gain employment by actively engaging with 'work ready' job seekers to secure sustainable employment outcomes.   

You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Vocational Action Plans by referring participants to relevant vocational / non vocational activities to support job readiness and securing sustainable employment and will be working on the disability employment service contract.

About you

We’re looking for an individual:

  • Motivated, with genuine interest in working with vulnerable people
  • An understanding of Disability / Employment Services and experience within a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to build rapport effectively;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Preference for working within a collaborative team environment

Experience:

  • Working in a target driven environment
  • Experience in dealing with complex situations
  • High degree of customer service and administrative skills
  • Understanding of or experience in overcoming overcome objections and break down barriers that exist for people who are unemployed

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Current valid driving license
  • Intermediate computer skills

Desirable:

  • Certificate IV Disability & or / Community Services / Employment Services & / or Career Development
