About the opportunity

The Family Preservation and Reunification Response Program is a new innovative approach to delivering relational, therapeutic, evidence-informed intervention support to vulnerable children and families in partnership with Child Protection. The program aims to prevent at risk children and young people from entering or re-entering care and also supports children and young people currently in care to safely reunify with their family where possible.

The Project Implementation Lead will support the ongoing implementation of Uniting’s FPR program, incorporating both the use of DFFH evidence-informed practice elements and Uniting’s evidence-based Model of Care. The role will oversee the implementation of strategies and processes to ensure high-quality service delivery, undertake Panel of Care Coordinator responsibilities and support the creation of the Parent Portal (consumer facing aspect of the FPR client management system).

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a tertiary qualification in a human services or health related discipline.

You will also have:

  • Significant experience working within the child and family welfare sector
  • Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to design, implement and evaluate projects within required timeframes
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to the Out of Home Care sector and the Child Protection system
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Well-developed writing skills, with the ability to develop effective processes, tools and resources
