About the opportunity

We have an exciting new opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual to work with a highly reputable and iconic community services organisation.

We have recently been chosen to deliver an innovative employment program as part of the Big Housing Build for the Victorian State Government. Our Jobs Now program will support people who live in social housing to secure ongoing jobs in a variety of roles across tenancy and property management.

This role is responsible for brokering jobs within social housing sector partnerships as well as creating employment opportunities with public housing contractors.  The position can be based in Broadmeadows or Heidelberg however the role requires travel across Melbourne.

About you

We're looking for motivated people who have a genuine interest in and commitment to helping vulnerable people in our community. You will have previous experience in a similar position. Empathy, resilience, outstanding personal qualities and a preference for working within a collaborative team environment are qualities that will succeed in the role.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years' sales or business development experience in a services environment
  • Extensive experience in B2B and B2C sales and business development in consumer centric organisations
  • Professional and commercial approach to business, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and achieve outcomes in a performance driven environment
