About the opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Registered Nurses to be part of Uniting's service supporting consumers in the community to enhance their health, wellbeing, independence and quality of life. Reporting to the Senior Manager Nursing and Allied Health, this role provides nursing services to consumers in their home.

The initial focus of the role is Home Care Packages (HCP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) services. However, there may be opportunities to expand into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as the team grows.    

About you

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in the aged care and/or disability sector.
  • Specialist nursing knowledge and experience in the areas of cognition, continence, pain, diabetes and wound assessment and management.
  • Excellent understanding of the aged care and disability sector and the care and support needs of consumers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain productive professional relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage a workload.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with client record management systems.
