About the opportunity

We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic Team Leader to join our Child, Youth and Family Residential Services Program on a full time ongoing basis. The position is based in Ashburton.

The Team Leader is responsible for leading a team of front line staff who deliver high quality services to clients. The role ensures that team outputs are delivered in accordance with the service delivery model, funding body agreements, accreditation and program standards and relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, current first aid and CPR, current driver’s license and a working with children check.

You will also have:

  • Experience in Children and Youth Residential services and crisis management support
  • A current understanding of the Out of Home Care sector
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a supervisory/team leader role
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery of operational excellence in services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong decision making, problem solving, analytical and influencing skills
