Woden Community Service Housing and Homelessness teams (OneLink and Supported Tenancy Service [STS]) work with people to access housing and rental support; and child, youth and family support services in the ACT. OneLink is the centralised intake service for the ACT while STS supports tenants at risk of being evicted and requiring tenancy support.

About the Role

In this management role you will be responsible for leading and supporting a professional team, focussing on the planning and delivery of OneLink and STS. This includes the delivery of case management, outreach support and working closely with other housing providers are operating at required levels.

You will foster and sustain positive working relationships and networks with the community, private and government agencies. As part of the Woden Community Service management team, you will collaborate with services across the organisation to ensure the best support for your clients.

Benefits:

  • Fixed term full-time position (38 hours per week) to 30 June 2023, with potential weekend work (penalties apply). Possible extension dependent on funding availability
  • Annual salary between $109,132 - $113,429 depending on qualifications and experience plus 10% superannuation

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification/s including social work, youth work, and community services
  • Knowledge of and experience in the housing and homeless sector
  • Qualifications and/or experience in leadership/management is highly desirable

  1. Demonstrated understanding of the issues experienced by people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and understanding and knowledge of issues related to human services delivery, particularly regarding housing and homelessness
  2. Demonstrated ability to provide high-level strategic direction and support to teams working in human services delivery environment including but not limited to management of staff, rostering, professional development, and fostering positive work environments.
  3. Demonstrated strong consultation, negotiation and conflict resolutions skills, and the ability to resolve problems collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes with multiple stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and monitor planning to ensure work priorities are achieved and community objectives are met
  5. Demonstrated achievement in modelling ethical behaviour and driving team commitment to deliver outcomes aligned to Woden Community Service Values
