NDIS Support Coordinator

Woden Community Service Incorporated (WCS) is looking for a skilled NDIS Support Coordinator to join our team. Be part of a supportive team whose focus is to build supportive, long term, respectful relationships with people experiencing psychosocial or other disabilities, their families, and carers. This position is well suited for candidates with an interest in case management and recovery-based practice.

The Role

As support coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting people with disabilities to improve their quality of life through the implementation of their NDIS plan. This includes establishing positive relationships with a broad range of service users and stakeholders, developing and implementing support plans, and coordinating with a wide range of services.

Our Offer

  • Salary range $74,416 to $78,321 p.a. plus 10% Superannuation.
  • Full time. Based in Woden, with immediate start.
  • Paid shutdowns leave on standard working days between Christmas and New Year.

Experience and skills

  • Relevant Bachelor degree or higher qualification.
  • Skills, knowledge and experience in providing direct and personalised assistance through outreach services, providing referrals, monitoring and reporting progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to build supportive respectful relationships with people experiencing significant life challenges, their family members and carers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain respectful and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government organisations.
  • Understanding and demonstrated awareness of strength-based and recovery approaches, social justice and citizenhood.
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting activities to ensure the participant's plan budgets are within the appropriate limits.
  • Demonstrated ability to be able to manage multiple competing priorities, have excellent time management skills and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a small team and a willingness to participate in team meetings and supervision.
  • Thorough understanding of the importance of personal and professional boundaries, ethical behaviour, policies and procedures.
