Women’s Health West (WHW) is the gender equity agency for the western metropolitan region of Melbourne. Our programs and services are for designed to redress gender inequity and benefit victim-survivors of family violence in Melbourne’s west. Our efforts are ultimately about supporting our communities to lead safe and healthy lives, and on changing the conditions that cause and maintain gender inequity.
We are currently recruiting for a Family Violence Case Manager (After-Hours) to join our after-hours team.
The Afterhours Family Violence Program offers a specialist face-to-face response to victim survivors and their children who have recently experienced family violence and are being accommodated in the Western Metropolitan or Brimbank Melton regions. The service is accessible 7 days per week from 5pm and 24-hours per day on weekends and public holidays.
The Afterhours Case Manager provides vital face to face responses and phone support for women and families who are leaving or have recently left their home due to family violence. The daily responsibilities of an after-hours case manager include, but are not limited to:
The position is available on a casual basis for a period of 8 months, with regular shifts available and the potential for career development opportunities. It is paid at WHW EA Level 4 - 5 (between $46 and $56 casual hourly rate) depending on experience + 10% superannuation. Working hours are between 4.30pm and 9.30pm, with on-call duties required for some shifts thereafter.

All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate conducted by the Victoria Police and a working with children check. You also need to provide international police check if you have worked overseas within the last ten years for a minimum of twelve months.
In accordance with government requirements, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate evidence of an approved COVID-19 vaccination or authorised medical exemption.
