THE ROLE

Reporting through to the Director Business Operations, the People & Culture Manager role will lead a team of six - two HRBP’s, a Workforce Capability Lead, a Recruitment Officer, a graduate and payroll coordinator, whilst managing the organisation’s HR services across the workforce.

The successful candidate will ensure that all areas within the HR scope are managed both from a strategic and operational standpoint, drive the organisation’s values and cultural initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, and meet the workforce culture objectives and goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITiES

  • Talent management and capability building that attracts and retains staff, whilst working within a framework that aligns with the strategic goals and meets the operational needs of the organisation
  • Manage and provide recommendations to strengthen the organisation EVP, remuneration, and benefits framework
  • Oversee ER/IR and employment compliance
  • Support inclusion and diversity best practices and initiatives
  • Oversee OH&S, implement best practices relating to policies, procedures, and systems
  • Policy writing and review of policies
  • Oversee Payroll
  • Manage a budget along with reporting & compliance
  • Project management, continuous improvement
  • Mentor, lead and support your team at all levels with compassion, collaboration and consultation
  • Oversee EA negotiations in 2023

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will have passion, energy, and enthusiasm that will enable you to tackle challenges head on, supporting a values-based working environment.

You will be working as an HR Manager with experience as a Senior HRBP with demonstrated experience in managing a team and understanding the full scope of responsibilities as well as budgets, coaching, mentoring, and general human resource management and best practice.

EA negotiations, as well as relevant qualifications within HR will hold you in good stead.

  • A strong understanding and application of a values-based work application and associated behaviours.
  • A tertiary qualification in a human resource and experience as a senior human resource business partner and manager experience
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and apply strategic and operational workforce plans
  • Demonstrated experience working in a transformational workforce, experiencing sector reform and growth
  • Have proven workforce culture development skills
  • Not-for-profit industry experience will be highly regarded as will any skills or training in Social Work.
  • Experience in overseeing OH&S across multiple work sites

The position is available on a full-time permanent basis and is paid at GenWest EA Level 8, pay point negotiable dependent on experience (ranges from $113k to $118k + 10% superannuation.
