about the opportunity

As Head of People & Culture Services for World Vision Australia (WVA), you will be responsible for the operational excellence of a number of key areas, including People & Culture (P&C) Support, Property Services and Child and Adult Safeguarding.

Reporting to the Chief of People & Culture, your key responsibilities include;

  • Display engaging, influential, and inspiring leadership to enable our people to bring their entire self to work
  • Empower P&C Support to deliver operationally excellent services and support
  • Ensure WVA meets its child and adult safeguarding responsibilities and is a child safe organisation
  • Provide engaging and productive workspaces for WVA staff and departments across WVA property portfolio
  • Deliver workplace projects and plans that align to WVA’s strategic direction and goals

Who we’re looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong inspirational leadership qualities and stakeholder relationship skills, enabling you to work effectively with people at all levels in an organisation.

You will also have:

  • Previous experience working in a central services team developing and delivering fit-for-purpose processes/systems with the customer experience as the core focus
  • Outstanding communication skills and an ability to influence, think innovatively, and exercise judgment within a dynamic and complex environment
  • Tertiary qualification, with in Human Resources/Organisational Development, Business, or commensurate experience
  • Experience managing multi-functional and specialised HR teams
  • Experience in delivering organisational wide projects and change initiatives
