Project Manager - DFAT Accreditation

We are seeking a Project Manager to manage World Vision Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) re-accreditation. DFAT accreditation is required by World Vision Australia in order to receive funding under the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).

Reporting to the Chief of Field Impact, this role operates in a full time capacity for an initial 18 month fixed term duration based at our head office in Burwood East.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out a comprehensive review of obligations under the DFAT accreditation criteria
  • Engage with key stakeholders including Board Members, Executive Team and cross functional stakeholders to conduct a thorough gap analysis of existing policies, process and systems against the accreditation criteria
  • Identify and implement recommendations to mitigate gaps
  • Write and submit required reports and responses with applicable evidence and supporting documentation to attain re-accreditation
  • On-going multi-faceted stakeholder management including Board Members, Executive Team and cross functional stakeholders

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross functional teams to work to the desired outcome.
  • Proven project management skills with practical experience in the application of Project Management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with high levels of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of DFAT and related government policies/procedures - advantageous
  • Qualification or accreditation in program/project management methodologies – desirable
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques used to report audit findings including recommendations.
