Wyndham Park Community Centre is looking for a Tool Library Project Officer for a role within their Community Shed. The position is based at the shed which is adjacent to the centre and works closely with all staff across the organisation. The role is 22.8 hours per week
The Tool Library Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating the establishment of Wyndham’s first-ever tool library. The ideal candidate will be someone who is adept in a range of areas and able to develop new skills in the role. Key tasks – like the setting up an inventory and catalogue of tools, overseeing a new website, engaging with community and volunteers and setting up a new tool library space are just a few of the jobs you’ll take on in this exciting role. The successful applicant must be able to commit to being available on one weekday evening and one weekend day per week.
The Wyndham Park Tool Library is a new project being undertaken by Wyndham Park Community Centre with the support and partnership of the Wyndham City Council.

This project is about changing that – mobilising community and volunteers to build a sustainable social enterprise which saves people from buying tools and equipment they may only use a few times. By sharing resources and skills we can help people to learn while also reducing consumption, pollution and the amount of waste which goes to landfill.

This position is classified under the Neighbourhood Houses and Adult Community Education Centres Agreement 2010 and underpinned by the SCHCADS Award, Neighbourhood House Employees. Salary will be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience.
