Community Engagement Officer

Yarra Riverkeeper Association

The Yarra Riverkeeper Association is a not-for-profit community organisation formed in 2004 by a group of citizens who love the Yarra River (traditionally called the Birrarung, downstream of where it flows from the hills into a floodplain) and care about its future. Our vision is to ensure the Yarra River is healthy, protected and loved. The work of the Association springs from a strong sense of place and an effort to understand the river as an ecosystem.

The Community Engagement Officer will be leading and expanding our organisation's communications, events engagement, overall advocacy campaigns, volunteer coordination, and much more. This is an exciting role where you will have the space to create and manage projects and campaigns directed to community while working in collaboration with the YRKA team.

YRKA is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age. We strongly encourage people from all cultural backgrounds to apply, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Position to start as soon as possible.
