The Y NSW Outside School Hours Care centres are places that spark inspiration for learning and play, opportunities for lifelong friendships, and a nurturing environment of care and comfort for children. As our Regional Operations Manager, you will be the business manager that ensures this vital service that supports working families and children runs like a well-oiled machine, and continues to thrive and grow.

You will lead up to 20 Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) locations. This includes vacation care programming. You will manage Children Services Managers, travel between sites, balance day-to-day operations and contribute to the Y NSW’s strategy for children’s services.

Your average week will include contributions to strategic discussions, managing key stakeholders, ensuring operations meet compliance and regulations, considering efficiencies and input to budgeting processes. You will do this while mentoring, inspiring and developing a team of dedicated people who believe wholeheartedly in the purpose of the essential community service they provide. Your role will require dynamism, energy, the ability to work autonomously and flexibly and play an integral role in the ongoing development of the Y.

As a Regional Operations Manager you will oversee our sites across:

  • Sydney Southwest Corridor

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Management discipline
  • Current driver’s license (for travelling between locations)
  • CHCPRT001 accreditation* - 'Identify and respond to children and young people at risk'
  • HTLAID004 accreditation* - 'Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting'

How you’ll stand out

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior leadership role, preferably managing complex multi-site operations across NSW.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Extensive experience supervising operations across multiple sites.
  • Background in budget and financial management.
  • Experience in managing revenue and contracts.
  • Comprehensive planning and stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel between sites.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Police Check (paid for by the Y).
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education.
