THE ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with a passion for helping clients improve their function and well-being. This is a casual position which is available with flexible hours located at The Parks Recreation & Sports Centre. You’ll work with many different clientele, including those in areas of rehabilitation, chronic disease management, return to work assessments, DVA assessments, and workcover clients. Our facilities allow you to use a large range of equipment in multiple gym areas, as well as access two indoor pools.

The role of the Exercise Physiologist is to prepare, design, and delivery of tailored training sessions, which may include one-on-one, group sessions, aqua sessions, and health seminars. You will also continuously develop the Allied Health Program by increasing client base, liaising with members on the health club floor, and networking with community organisations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (or equivalent)
  • Certification with Exercise Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
  • Current HLTAID001 Provide CPR
  • Responding to Abuse and Neglect Certificate (or willing to undergo training)
  • Highly proficient communication skills, especially with medical professionals
  • Mid-level business acumen to ensure the service remains sustainable
