We are looking for an amazing & experienced hands on specialists (preferably with a nursing background) to join our You First team for the role of Team Leader in our disability in home services team. Working 5 days out of 7 days a week you will be required to either have some early shift starts or finish later in the evening on some shifts.

Description:

Join our in home disability support services team based in Mulgrave supporting a range of clients and in home disability workers across Melbourne throughout the day.

The Team Leader role is ideally suited to people who enjoy developing other people to reach their full potential but also want to retain a hands on client role.

Our Team Leaders enjoy sharing their knowledge with others, undertaking regular assessments of our in home disability workers, work with new in home disability workers working directly with clients to develop support care plans and covering shifts when our workers are unable to attend at short notice.

Having a nursing background and experience of working with ABI/Autism/ADHD/Mental Health/Cerebral Palsy will be a distinct advantage.

The roles are based from our Mulgrave office and a driving licence and access to you own vehicle is required.

A Successful You

Successful candidates must at a minimum have at least 5 years disability support worker experience or have at least 2 years nursing experience.

Qualification & Certification

Requirements:

  • Registered or Enrolled Nurse AHPRA (Registered) minimum 2 years nursing and experience of the disability sector and persons with highly complex support needs preferred or Very Experienced Disability Support Worker with at least 5 years highly complex support experience
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check AND NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • COVID 19 Vaccinations & Boosters
  • Working with Children (WWC) Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Australian Police Check (International Police Check where required)
  • Driving Licence

The role is available on either a full time permanent basis (starting at $32.54 per hour (excl super) or on a casual basis (starting at $40.68 per hour (excl super)
