yourtown’s Mind 4 Kids Program provides psychological therapies for children aged to 11 years with moderate mental health issues, to improve their health, resilience and wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a reputable service that has a range of programs in the child and family space, and is well connected with the community.

The program is delivered within a stepped care approach and works in an integrated and collaborative manner with wraparound supports. It is provided on site and via outreach e.g. in schools.

We are seeking a Mental Health Social Worker to support children and their families by providing a single entry point into mental health care, wraparound supports and services. Care coordination will be undertaken to enhance positive child and family outcomes.

About you

You will have qualifications and relevant registration as a Mental Health Social Worker with AASW. You will have experience providing psychological therapies for children and their families, and demonstrated experience in psychological, sensory and functional assessments and interventions.

We are seeking a passionate, professional clinician who wants to make a difference by servicing a cohort whose access to psychological support may be limited by financial hardship or other barriers.

You will be supported by clinical supervision provided by an appropriately qualified external supervisor to meet your registration requirements, as well as internal practice supervision.
