About the role

As our Bid Lead, you will coordinate and develop funding submissions, including tenders, grants and strategic business development proposals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Line management of the Bid Writer including providing day to day mentoring, coaching and direction
  • Lead the development of funding submissions
  • Develop pitches and formal proposals to secure external support for yourtown services, including submissions to local, state and federal government and other funding bodies
  • Write, edit and review material for tenders
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify funding opportunities from sources aligned to yourtown’s mission
  • Provide guidance in relation to the continuous improvement and quality management of tender writing and funding proposals

About you

You will be highly analytical and skilled at delivering persuasive writing to a range of audiences. You will pride yourself on your innovation, creativity and ability to conceptualise and bring ideas to fruition. You will enjoy building strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Successful candidates will bring:

  • Relevant bachelor degree level qualifications and experience in the sourcing and securing grant funding through the preparation of submissions and tenders
  • Demonstrated project management and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Demonstrated high level of professional and persuasive writing skills, including experience in the development of grants, tenders, and funding submissions to government and non-government audiences
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong business partnering experience across all levels of an organisation
