Our Family Mental Health Support Service (Starfish Program) provides free early intervention and support to vulnerable families with children and young people who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing, mental illness.
We are seeking 3x Child, Youth and Family Counsellors to deliver individual, family and group responses that provide early intervention and therapeutic support to children, young people, and their families, early in a situation where mental health risk factors may be emerging. Based at our Deception Bay site, the Starfish team deliver a targeted outreach counselling service, therapeutic group work, and community education programs.
You will conduct assessments and provide counselling interventions using a range of therapeutic modalities, within a strengths-based, client centred, trauma and attachment informed, and culturally sensitive framework, for children and young people aged 0-18yrs and their families.
