The Resilient Kids Program supports the resilience of young people in Far North Qld via Kids Helpline@School, Kids Helpline My Circles and an online Disaster Response Hub. It is a new program funded by North Queensland Primary Health Network to help school-aged children gain skills in recognising mental health stress and knowing where to turn for help, specifically tailored to children and young people affected by traumatic events.

The Content Development Specialist will create, resource and implement quality, evidence informed content for the various Resilient Kids Program platforms.

Your role will include:

  • Develop content in consultation with key community stakeholders in the LGA’s of Burke, Carpentaria, Burdekin, Douglas and Etheridge
  • Work in collaboration with various stakeholders to create evidence informed, place-based content
  • Develop evidence informed, engaging and relevant collateral and digital assets
  • Produce engaging and relevant copy for publishing across yourtown publications, websites and social platforms
  • Assist in the development of PR materials, disruption content, activations and events
  • Analyse and report on content outcomes and client feedback

This position will be appointed on a full time 6-month maximum term basis.

what we are looking for

You will have exceptional writing and editing skills with strong ability to create powerful, engaging child and youth centric content. You will ideally have experience in marketing and communication and understanding of youth trends and ability to engage in a relevant tone of voice.

You will bring:

  • bachelor degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or Behavioural Sciences and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • strong understanding of producing age-appropriate content for use across multiple mediums
  • well organised, high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise projects and work with conflicting deadlines and unexpected changes in workflow
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and autonomously when required
