As the Education Programs Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of yourtown’s education engagement programs that keep young people in school or offer other positive pathways. Responsibilities include:

  • manage a small team across several locations, including yourtown sites and in school settings
  • oversee the operations and program management of the Education Programs across South East Qld to achieve quality client outcomes and program objectives
  • develop, manage and achieve program budgets and performance
  • represent and promote yourtown through networking and stakeholder engagement and identify and develop new opportunities

This position will be appointed on a full time contract basis, ending 30 June 2022.

About You

You will have experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams as well as operational management of community service programs.

Successful candidates will also bring:

  • university level qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • a strong understanding of the education system and Qld Education Department requirements
  • well-developed communication, liaison and networking skills and ability to influence and successfully negotiate across internal and external stakeholders
  • strong understanding of the issues and challenges that young people face and the ability to identify and implement program and service responses that meet their needs
