About the role

We have committed to embedding a youth participation strategy throughout the organisation to improve organisational impact through better programs and services, informed by the knowledge and lived experience of young people across Australia.

As our Youth Participation Coordinator, you will consolidate the work we have already undertaken and continue to drive our strategy forward. You will use your influencing skills to strengthen organisational understanding and expertise in youth participation and embed genuine participation by young people in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of services.

About you

You will be passionate about supporting children and young people to engage in meaningful opportunities to improve yourtown’s impact and will be totally committed to ensuring young people are at the centre. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to develop effective relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to persuade and influence change
  • Deep understanding of youth participation
  • Bachelor degree and at least 4 years relevant experience
