Registered Nurse (After Hours Outreach Service)

Youth Projects

Is this you?

You are an engaging and empathic Registered Nurse with over 3 years’ experience. You hold an AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. You have experience working with people experiencing homelessness and marginalised populations with psychiatric, medical and substance use conditions within a harm reduction model of care. You have a strong commitment to Social Model of health and trauma informed care principles. You love the thought of undertaking assertive outreach work with some of Melbourne’s most vulnerable people. Your passion for achieving health and wellbeing outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness is contagious.

You may not be the captain of this team, but when we are in thick of it, you know the importance of playing off each-other’s strengths and having each-others back #1YP

You thrive in organised chaos. You know the importance of boundaries and frameworks but are an active listener and tailor your support based on the goals and aspirations to the person you are working with. You’ve got experience supporting a range of complex needs and bring a mix of best practice and responsive thinking to help us provide high impact support, without judgement!

You are bendy. You can switch from proving health interventions to advocating for our services users, health outcomes in the blink of an eye. Changing lives is your passion but you still embrace rolling up your sleeves and mucking in to get the job done.

You see the person. You’re full of creative ways to meet our service users where they are at and believe that engagement shouldn’t be a one size fits all model. You always see the person, not just their immediate situation because you understand that everyone has different needs, and that is okay.

You care. Our frontline warriors and change makers are all here because we genuinely want to break the cycle of disadvantage, and we want you to want that too!
