About the Role

Zest Care is currently seeking for passionate and experienced Support Workers in Nowra.

With your person-centred approach, in this this role you will provide care needs and support everyday activities. This important and challenging role will suit an experienced support worker seeking to work with families living with Huntington’s disease (HD). HD-specific training will be provided as required.

In this role, you will:

  • Help with mobility.
  • Provide nutrition support and feeding assistance.
  • Administering of medication.
  • Potentially provide bowel and bladder function support.
  • Coordinate with other services such as occupational therapy, speech therapy and physiotherapy so are to implement new plans
  • Provide personal care support as required.
  • Light meal preparation may be required.

To be a successful candidate, you must have a valid driver licence with a reliable vehicle and willing to use your own vehicle to transport the participant.

About You

  • Experience with complex needs.
  • Manual handling experience.
  • Be willing to transport the participant in your vehicle.
  • Be flexible and reliable and committed to work on weekends.
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
