We are seeking experienced Family Support Workers to join our specialised team to provide support and care for a young child who has been referred to the service due to child welfare concerns.
As a Family Worker, you will be responsible for improving the wellbeing of children by supporting families with home visiting. You will support them to establish daily routines around all areas of their life, including, but not limited to hygiene, homework, cleaning, meal planning and cooking. You will role model positive parenting and support them to manage a household.
This position will be a casual role and will require availability on weekends as well as during the week. Hours of work are flexible, and this position may also require you to travel.
Ideally you will have 12 months experience working with young children with challenging and complex behaviours. With your empathic nature, you will be confident in handling difficult situations and be a quick thinker whilst being supportive and tactful with the ability to make clear judgements.
