The role

Are you an experienced plan manager looking for a change? Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people living with a disability?

Your demonstrated experience as a Plan Manager will allow you to work with Zest customers to support them to manage their NDIS plan funds. You will need to have an exceptional customer-centric focus and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your attention to detail, speedy data entry and your ability to juggle tasks are essential in this role.

Joining the team at an exciting development stage, your ability to find efficiencies and be involved in networking events and 1:1 engagement will help grow a thriving service offering for Australians living with disability.

Our Plan Managers handle the financial and administrative aspects of our client’s NDIS plans. The position is predominantly managing the client’s NDIS funds, mentoring junior team members and financial management, such as paying invoices; processing claims from the NDIA.

You’ll also have responsibility for onboarding new clients, drafting service agreements and advising potential participants on how the NDIS plan management operates. Supporting participants and their representatives to work within their allocated budget is a critical component of the role.

About you

You’ll have experience as a plan manager in the NDIS space and ideally qualifications in bookkeeping or financial management, community services or a related discipline and have a current driver’s licence. You should be able to demonstrate your experience in dealing with high volume invoice processing using MYOB or other similar accounting systems and NDIA’s PRODA system.

Your ability to work with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders, including people living with a disability, cultural diversity, and language other than English, and be able to adjust ways of working to support best-practice inclusion and accessibility.

Your previous experience should demonstrate that you have been successful in managing and maintaining funds for participants under the NDIS. Your exceptional communication, problem-solving and customer service skills will make you a stand-out candidate for this role.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Plan Manager.
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn, implement and comply with Zest Care’s financial and general administration activities and processes as directed under the NDIA rules, NDIS guidelines and per company policy or procedure.
  • Experience being an efficient and effective point of contact for actual and potential clients
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise tasks, demonstrating a systematic and organised approach to work.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, professionalism, and service standards (internally and externally).
  • Ability to work autonomously within a small team, to appreciate differences and to build collaborative relationships which support administration processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with relevant staff regarding issues to effectively problem solve and make operationally effective decisions.
  • Optimistic, problem-solving attitude.
