<h3>about you</h3>
As the successful applicant you will have experience in a recruitment and/or generalist human resources position. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills to liaise with all levels of the organisation and the ability to effectively manage your time.
In this role you will work across the broad range of generalist activities including recruitment, selection and retention, performance management, industrial relations, work health and safety, learning and development and continuous quality improvement. You will have the opportunity to work on some exciting HR projects and shape the employee experience at Carers NSW.

As the Carer Gateway Service Provider (CGSP) in Region 4 of NSW (Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast) we are looking for part-time (4 days per week) or full time Carer Intake and Assessment Officers based in Newcastle or Coffs Harbour.
<h3>Carer Intake &amp; Assessment Officer:</h3>
This positions are responsible for supporting carers through the Carer Support Planning Process including an intake, registration and needs assessment, support planning, coordination and support monitoring to ensure carers can be holistically supported by understanding their needs and referring them to appropriate supports. This position will be required to demonstrate a high level of experience in telephone support work.
Reporting to the Team Leader, Intake &amp; Assessment you will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualification in Social Work or other relevant discipline, or currently studying</li>
<li>Knowledge of the community care and health systems and other programs relevant to carers</li>
<li>Understanding of intake, assessment and referral processes provided as part of a telephone information, support and planning process</li>
<li>Advanced communication skills with experience speaking to people from diverse backgrounds</li>
<li>Advanced computer skills and experience with utilising a CRM</li>
<li>Understanding of and commitment to carer issues and needs</li>
</ul>
In addition, knowledge of the Central Coast, Hunter New England and North Coast (Region 4) will be highly regarded.
This position is paid on SCHADS 5 PP1 + NFP salary packaging benefits.

The Career Guidance Officer will be responsible for providing tailored and strengths-based individual information, advice, referral and support for women who are in a caring role to achieve their career goals. Working in partnership with TAFE NSW, you will support individuals to access new and enhanced career development opportunities, whether it be training or employment. You will also support the development and delivery of interactive resources aimed at building the capacity and awareness of women in caring roles and of the career guidance sector.
<h3>As the successful applicant you will possess the following:</h3>

<li>Tertiary qualifications in social science, welfare, or business-related discipline</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to develop, facilitate, promote and evaluate projects</li>
