<h3><strong>ABOUT ALNF</strong></h3>
<p>The Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) is a registered national charity dedicated to raising language, literacy and numeracy standards in Australia. ALNF raises funds to develop, implement and sustain a number of ground-breaking programs with tangible results, supporting and up-skilling thousands of adults and children across the nation.</p>
<h3><strong>ALNF PROGRAMS</strong></h3>
<p>ALNF offers a range of programs which support vulnerable Australians to achieve sustainable, community-led outcomes. These include:</p>
<p>ALNF&rsquo;s flagship <strong>Early Language and Literacy (EL&amp;L)</strong> program draws on best practice from speech and language pathology and education. It provides knowledge and practical strategies to support the development of foundational language and literacy skills to early childhood and early primary educators, allied professionals, parents and community members in remote, regional and urban communities. EL&amp;L is offered in English and also Two Ways, in English and First Languages. EL&amp;L support is supplemented with community resources from our Literacy Packs and Share-A-Books programs. <p>ALNF also has a strong history of working to support literacy in Australia&rsquo;s First Languages through its <strong>Living First Languages Program </strong>which was developed in response to requests by Warumungu and Warramiri Elders. The Program combines a range of place-based and digital activities designed to support community-driven and sustainable language and literacy teaching and learning in Australia&rsquo;s First Languages. A key part of this work is the digital Living First Languages Platform. The Platform provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with the technology to record, display and teach language and literacy in their own First Languages. <p><strong>Refugee Action Support </strong>is a partnership between ALNF, the NSW Department of Education and participating universities which provides face-to-face learning support in schools which high numbers of students of refugee background.</p>
<p><strong>Subtext: Art for Literacy </strong>provides refugee youth in schools in Greater Western Sydney with inspiring and talented arts mentors, who provide productive spaces in which students are able to explore new, creative ways to express their experiences and ideas.</p>
<h3><strong>ABOUT THIS ROLE<br /></strong></h3>
<p>ALNF has a full-time position at our Head Office in Alexandria for a highly organised and motivated Programs Coordinator to join our close knit and dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of marginalised Australians.</p>
<p>The Programs Coordinator will ensure the smooth day to day operation of program delivery processes across the Programs Team and provide support to the Programs Management Team, in particular in relation to high quality program monitoring, evaluation and reporting.</p>
<p>This position requires exceptional organisational skills, strong oral and written communication skills, great general computing and database skills, and the ability to track multiple responsibilities across a busy workday, supporting others along the way. See further detail below.</p>

<h3>RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:</h3>
<p>Coordinate and administer program delivery processes and ad hoc tasks including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation, ordering and distribution of program resources and forms</li>
<li>Ensure accurate records regarding program, participant and trainer information, equipment and resources distribution</li>
<li>Liaise with ALNF&rsquo;s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to ensure they receive all required information</li>
<li>Ensure timely, cost-effective and accurate training trip processes and bookings</li>
<li>Liaise with participating schools, student tutors and artist mentors in ALNF&rsquo;s Refugee Action Support and Subtext: Art for Literacy programs regarding program scheduling and resources</li>
<li>Coordinate and minute programs team meetings</li>
<li>Support programs team as required (eg calendar management, Zoom bookings)</li>
<li>Support and advise programs team on IT and administrative issues and liaise with IT support provider</li>
</ul>
<p>Support management team with programs research, evaluation, reporting and correspondence including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist with reporting back to key stakeholders in the form of evaluations and written reports</li>
<li>Collate information on a range of impact measures including programs outputs, learner outcomes, and children&rsquo;s assessment results</li>
<li>Record and summarise assessment results including data entry, summaries and graphs</li>
<li>Draft, format and proof-read a variety of written materials</li>
<li>Assist in the implementation of new software and processes</li>
<li>Facilitate the collection of qualitative and quantitative data in accordance with ALNF processes and systems</li>
<li>Support the professional delivery and operations of the program</li>
</ul>
<p>Facilitate smooth running of office processes, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Monitor and order office stationery and programs related resources, perform regular stocktakes</li>
<li>Shared general reception duties and ensure high level of professionalism and responsiveness at ALNF reception</li>
<li>Respond to mail and email correspondence and work with ALNF staff to respond to public requests for information.</li>
<li>Ensure room preparation for meetings and events</li>
<li>Ensure tidy ALNF office space and shared resources</li>
</ul>

<h3>YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<p>In this role, you will write, secure funding and manage grants for ALNF&rsquo;s national programs through private philanthropy, government and corporate organisations. Reporting to ALNF&rsquo;s Director of Communications and Programs Manager, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with the Programs and Communications teams to understand ALNF&rsquo;s programs and their Theories of Change, and priorities for funding.</li>
<li>Proactively identify and pursue Australian and international grants and other funding opportunities.</li>
<li>Manage a detailed, prioritised calendar to ensure an adequate pipeline of applications.</li>
<li>Proactively seek collateral to support applications and reports, such as case studies, testimonials, images etc.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain professional and warm relationships with funding stakeholders, and proactively determine their priorities and preferences.</li>
<li>Source evidence and data to clearly and accurately demonstrate program need and outcomes against the Theories of Change.</li>
<li>Manage records of accumulated evidence and data related to ALNF&rsquo;s Theories of Change.</li>
<li>Research, write and submit compelling grant applications.</li>
<li>Arrange and manage contributors and content as required.</li>
<li>Effectively manage all reporting requirements including report writing and submitting acquittals.</li>
<li>Work with the Programs Team to source evidence of success against organisational and project-specific KPIs and outcomes.</li>
</ul>
<h3>ABOUT YOU</h3>
<p><strong>Qualifications and experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven success in grant writing and reporting, ideally in a not-for-profit environment.</li>
<li>Proven ability to write proposals and reports that are succinct, professional and compelling - with the capacity to adjust style to suit various audiences.</li>
<li>Proven stakeholder and relationship management skills including the ability to engage and establish professional and warm rapport with people at all levels.</li>
