About the project

The first Papua New Guinea draft School Safety Context Analysis, called by its previous name "Education Sector Snapshot for Comprehensive School Safety and Education in Emergencies in Papua New Guinea" was first drafted in 2017, under the auspices of the Pacific Coalition for the Advancement of School Safety (PCASS) (Phase 1). (Appendices are available from Save the Children).

It is intended to be a joint publication of the relevant Papua New Guinea Government Authorities, along with the National Department of Education and school safety partners in Papua New Guinea.

This consultancy will start with this existing analysis, review and update with any context or policy changes, gap analysis and conduct relevant sector mapping on school safety and climate change adaptation and produce a report for consideration at the Regional Workshop for PCASS in July 2024.
