<p>8848 Disability Services is currently looking for several committed, caring and professional individuals to join our Team in Hornsby area, on a permanent basis.</p>
<h3>shifts types :</h3>
<ul>
<li>2 hr short shifts</li>
<li>6 hrs shifts</li>
<li>8 hr shifts</li>
<li>Active Nights</li>
</ul>
<p>These are challenging roles that require the successful candidates to support customers with complex medical needs including Catheter Care, Bowel care, CPAP, Manual Handling, Personal Care. Previous experience is essential.</p>
<h3>TYPICAL DUTIES MIGHT INCLUDE:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence at home and in the community.</li>
<li>Supporting customers with personal care and other health and hygiene issues such as eating, dressing, toileting and showering.</li>
<li>Undertaking various household tasks including mealtime management, cleaning, shopping and other community access activities.</li>
</ul>
<h3>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA</h3>
<ul>
<li>Certificate III/IV in Aged Care or Individual Support or equivalent qualifications desired but not essential</li>
<li>A current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle</li>
<li>Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our customers</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with our customers and to support their individual care plans</li>
<li>Flexibility to work casual shifts, as needed is required</li>
<li>NSW Working With Children Check</li>
<li>NDIS Workers Check</li>
<li>Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
</ul>
