Opportunity to shape the future of adult community education in Victoria

Applications are sought for part-time positions on the Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) Board.

The ACFE Board is a statutory authority that supports the development of adult, community and further education in Victoria and oversees Victorian Government funding to the Learn Local sector.

The Ministerial Statement on the Future of Adult Community Education in Victoria 2020–25 outlines the vision for the future of adult community education in Victoria and acknowledges the crucial role that the Learn Local sector plays. The ACFE Board has the lead role in implementing the Ministerial Statement in Victoria.

Individuals with skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Adult, community and further education
  • Corporate governance and leadership
  • Financial management
  • Strategic thinking and innovation
  • Community and industry engagement
  • Strategic risk management and audit
  • Cultural diversity
  • Public sector governance
  • Learn Local knowledge and/or experience
  • VET and higher education sector knowledge and/or experience.

Board directors are eligible for remuneration in accordance with the Appointment and Remuneration Guidelines published by the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
