Our purpose is to strengthen the wellbeing of our communities by advocating for and delivering services which divert people away from the justice system.

Here's some information about the role

The People and Culture Advisor reports to the Manager, People and Culture and will be based at our North Richmond office, however hybrid working options are supported! We have other offices around Victoria and there is an expectation for ad hoc day travel to other offices to visit.

Our People and Culture Advisor provides support in the following areas.

  • Talent Acquisition
    • Working with our leaders and People and Culture Partners to attract and recruit the best talent to vacant positions.
    • Attract: think up and implement new and innovative ways to source top talent
    • Recruit: develop the best strategy to recruit and select talent for each position and assist leaders, where required, with creating interview guides, shortlisting candidates, advertisements, contract creation, pre-employment checks, accreditations. We have a recruitment platform to help with the process.
  • Student Work Placement Program
    • Helps coordinate our university/TAFE student work placement program.
  • General P&C advice and projects
    • Responding to our general People and Culture email inbox, the role will also provide general advice about matters across the employee lifecycle and lead or assist the People and Culture team with upcoming projects and initiatives.

What we're looking for in our future team member

What's most important to us is someone with the right attitude and values. This role would also suit a recent HR Graduate who has high potential, driven and eager to learn.

We are a small, high performing and close-knit team who work hard but love a laugh. It's really important that we find the right team member.

You will have/be:

  • Completed a tertiary qualification ideally in HR, business, law or psychology
  • Passionate about HR - particularly talent acquisition
  • Drive for results and a high level of customer service
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise and easily move between differing tasks
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Someone who is proactive and takes initiative with a focus on continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail
  • A quick learner
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations and highly organised.
