ASOHNS is a membership Society for ear nose and throat surgeons. The prevention of hearing loss and restoration of hearing health is important to ASOHNS.

ABOUT YOU

You will be a strong project coordinator with the ability to manage competing priorities. You will be a people person able to build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. You will be deadline driven, able to self-motivate and open to learning new skills. You will be an admin guru, able to create briefings and present to stakeholders, as well as happy to manage contracts and ad hoc tasks. No two days will be the same in this role, which you find exciting!

THE OPPORTUNITY

The National ENT Outreach Project Coordinator will coordinate a 12-month project, consisting of a range of inter-related activities designed to establish a national co-ordinated outreach register. This will be undertaken in collaboration with key internal stakeholders including ENT surgeons in each State and Territory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination

  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to confirm current outreach services in place.
  • Coordinate the recruitment of consultants to expand current services.
  • Provide regular briefings to ensure requirements are clearly understood and milestones are being achieved.
  • Maintain all associated project implementation documentation throughout the life of the project.

Communication and Learning

  • Share findings in a timely manner with key stakeholders, in a range of meetings and forums to support information sharing, collaboration, learning and planning.
  • Provide support in the coordination of services.
  • Prepare a handbook for requirements of an outreach service.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience working with a public health or international Non-Government Organisation in project coordination, including project planning, data management, and project monitoring and reporting
  • Experience in coordinating consultancies, including contract management
  • Experience in resource mobilisation, including contributing to the development of concept briefs or proposals for funding in the health sector
  • Strong cultural awareness especially in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
  • Strong written communication and time management skills

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in the Not For Profit sector
  • Degree in related field eg. Public Health
  • Knowledge of ear health and impacts of hearing impairment
