We are the largest, most comprehensive Aboriginal Medical Health Service in Queensland.

Job Description

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Facilities & Maintenance coordinator/advisor is expected to personally contribute to the shaping and achievement of ATSICHS vision and goals within their own scope. The Facilities & Maintenance coordinator/advisor will provide three (3) Key Functions: 

Role Functions 

Effectively manage the entire facilities and maintenance function, which involves the continual improvement of internal policy, systems and procedures.  The role will be responsible for the management of ATSICHS facilities, fleet, and asset management across all sites.  

The role is expected to effectively manage leases, licenses, and service provider contracts with a key focus on continuous improvement by proactively forecasting organizational requirements and aligning those requirements with effective management practices and procedures. Furthermore, it is the Facilities & Maintenance responsibility to deliver the highest quality support and service in acting as the first point of contact to all internal and external clients while managing all ATSICHS facilities, fleets and assets. 

Organisational Contributions 

The Manager, Facilities and Maintenance will provide leadership, direction and total commitment to ATSICHS ensuring the provision of best-practice Facilities and Maintenance. which exceeds standard sector delivery standards.  Furthermore, this role will provide professional advice, insight and assistance to the Director of Finance and all other Managers across the organisation. They will also actively contribute to the ongoing development of best-practice  

Contribute to the Development of a Flourishing Team 

Provide effective leadership, guidance and support to staff to ensure a flourishing workplace culture that promotes the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long standing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation. 

Desired Skills and Experience

 Essential:  

  • Bachelor of Business- or Business-related field. 
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a project management role in a similar organisation. 
  • Previous experience in fleet management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high risk, highly visible and complex projects effectively.  
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects, work packages and activities, including planning and prioritising work, ensuring deadlines are met, while managing budget and resources. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes. 
  • Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes. 
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships with team members, stakeholders. 
  • Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills. 
  • Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply. 
  • Current Drivers Licence. 

Desirable, but not mandatory: 

  • Post-Graduate or Masters Degree in Business/Management or related field. 
  • Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation. 
  • Previous experience in fleet management.
