About the assignment:

We’re looking for a Speech Therapist Trainer who can volunteer in the Philippines remotely (from home) for 3 months. Join the Australian Volunteers Program to contribute to sustainable development across the Asia Archipelago region. 

About the Partner Organisation: 

Kanlong Foundation caters to children, youth, and adults with special needs by offering programs across the life-span from early childhood to pre-employment. Their work includes advocacy and awareness, diagnosis and handholding, capacity building, and funding support.

Their flagship project is the Inakay Center for Child Development that begins with an assessment of a child’s psychological, developmental, and learning needs to provide them with appropriate assistance and interventions throughout their lifespan. They offer programs for early intervention and early childhood special education. They also have specialised programs such as referral for assessment to developmental pediatricians, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and preparation to an inclusive school setting.

About the Position: 

  • You'll be supporting Kanlong Foundation in strengthening and improving their speech therapy program
  • You'll need relevant experience in speech therapy preferably in a clinical and educational setting
  • You'll leave an impact in the lives of children with special needs
