About the role

As one of our valued Retail Assistants, your main tasks will primarily be the smooth running of daily operations at the Sewing Basket shop. From all retail functions including customer service, sales, cash handling and usage of EFTPOS facilities, assisting with stock supply and the overall presentation of the shop front; you will also be making a positive difference within people's lives and your local community!

About you

As a minimum, you must possess:

  • Knowledge and understanding of sewing, quilting and related craft and skill activities would be helpful.
  • Knowledge / understanding of the provision of effective customer service.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn all the essential activities associated with the point-of-sale requirements of the position.
  • Ability to work well with colleagues, employees, and volunteers, at equal level.
  • Practical experience at The Sewing Basket in some capacity will be highly regarded.
  • Current NSW Drivers' License
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Current National Criminal Record Check
