Job Purpose

As a Leading Hand you will work alongside and be responsible for supervising groups of supported employees within our cleaning crew in various worksites for Achieve Australia.

The primary focus will be to assist and support on the job training of supported employees and enabling them to achieve a meaningful and valued work life experience, assisting and developing them to achieve set tasks as independently as possible.

Selection Criteria:

To be successful, you'll need to address the following selection criteria:

• Cert III Individual Support or Disability with experience working within the disability sector or willingness to develop skills and learn the industry.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
• Friendly, motivated and experience in supervising people and skill development.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments.
• Good listening and communication skills (written & verbal).
• Strong interpersonal, role modelling, training and customer service skills.
• Current Working with Children Check and NSW Driver's Licence (Green P2 or Full).

Desirable Criteria:

• Qualifications in Disability or Social Work is highly desirable.
• Experience in cleaning and/or desire to clean is highly desirable.
