Alfalfa House is a thriving, vibrant and sustainable co-op at the heart of the Inner West community and a rare opportunity has arisen where we are looking to employ an experienced and exceptional Retail Team Leader. The Retail Team Lead (permanent part-time, with flexible hours will be responsible for achieving the Alfalfa House retail plan, including:
- Achieving sales budgets through effective promotion, merchandising and staff training;
- Responsible for the development and implementation of the retail sales and trade marketing aspects of the strategic and annual plan;
- Implementation and management of approved purchasing, marketing, commercial expenses;
- Supervision, development and management of the retail team and volunteers that work in the Alfalfa House co-op to ensure we deliver the best customer experience;
- Work with the Finance and Admin Team Leader to achieve Alfalfa House goals.
Essential skills and experience are:
- Minimum of 5 years retail grocery sales management experience with demonstrated commercial successes including the responsibility for purchasing, budgeting and HR;
- Extensive experience in fresh produce and grocery through the health food, organic grocery channels is required;
- Computer skills - Word, Excel, Xero and apps such as PosWise (POS), MYOB or similar, social media.
Starting salary: $58,375.86 per year, full-time, plus super - pro rata for 24 hours per week.
