Amnesty International Australia (AI Australia) is offering a rare opportunity to drive the implementation of a new organisational approach that aims for sky-high engagement of Amnesty supporters (members, activists, donors, volunteers and action takers).

The role will ensure we inspire, recruit and retain committed supporters who share AI Australia’s vision and determination to protect and defend people's lives. The role is responsible for embedding our new Supporter Relationship Management system and setting and implementing Amnesty's organisational data insights, analytics, reporting and governance approach.

The role will support the growth of AI Australia through providing inspiring, fit-for-purpose story and content and excellent supporter care that improves the retention of our financial supporters and deepens engagement of all supporters.

Working in a close-knit management group and leading a team of 19 people around Australia, you will inspire, develop and lead a results-focused and supporter centric culture across the organisation and ensure Amnesty leads with cutting-edge supporter engagement and retention.

You will have:

  • High level communication & interpersonal skills - EI - (written, face to face, telephone, social media)
  • Extensive leadership skills and experience managing remote staff
  • Demonstrated experience building and developing high performing teams
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering successful customer service/engagement and marketing strategies
  • Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration and problem solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of supporter relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Experience of achieving collaborative change across and within an organisation or movement
  • Ability to analyse and present data analytics and insights to a variety of audiences and stakeholders
  • Successful development and management of $1 million dollar plus expenditure budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects towards achievement of agreed outcomes, including with external stakeholders
  • Influencing, negotiation and conflict management
