About the role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Community Educator to assist in the implementation and delivery of our community education program, It Only Takes One, with particular focus on the Healthy Relationships module that targets the prevention of Family and Domestic Violence.

Working within our high performing Philanthropy team and in partnership with our Community Education Officer, you will dynamically deliver in-person presentations and workshops to Year 7-12 students, with the aim of giving young people the tools they need to engage in healthy interpersonal relationships.

This is a part time role working four days per week, during school hours.

About You

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience delivering content on critical social issues to secondary school aged young people
  • Experience delivering content using multiple formats, in person and electronically, to communicate with a range of age groups
  • Knowledge of pedagogical tools to increase understanding, empathy and inspire action among audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an organisation.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and plan work

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

Also:

  • $76,561 per annum (pro rata) plus 10.5% superannuation
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
  • Additional 3 days (pro-rata) leave per year
