Anglicare WA is a partner in Foyer Oxford, the largest single site homelessness service for young people in Australia. Foyer Oxford provides young people who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness, with self-contained transitional housing for up to two years. Foyer Oxford offers stable accommodation and personalised case management support to assist young people to remain engaged in full time education, training and employment and to develop skills to transition into living independently in the community.

About the role

As the Program Manager Foyer Oxford you will lead our team of Case Managers and will be responsible for ensuring service quality and practice standards for the Foyer Oxford program. You will have a focus on service coordination and integration, will maintain the case manager roster and will be expected to be part of the on-call roster as required.

You will ensure clients receive appropriate services and referrals that meet their needs. You will have current knowledge of referral pathways in the sector and will actively continue to build professional networks with relevant stakeholders. You will have a focus on continuous improvement of the Foyer Oxford service model and will remain informed of professional trends in regard to homelessness, housing, poverty, entrenched disadvantage and trauma.

You will support your team and act as an escalation point for any complex issues, will coordinate critical incident and serious issues meetings and respond to client complaints in line with Anglicare WA policies and procedures.

As a highly experienced practitioner committed to the Code of Ethics for Youth Work in WA, you will remain abreast of current trends and will be responsible for creating a culture of continuing professional development in your team, supported by high quality, reflective practice and supervision.

This opportunity is a full time (37.5 hours per week), ongoing position.

About You

You are a passionate and talented individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients and to develop and inspire your team.

You will thrive in an environment that encourages innovation and creativity and will be an active contributor to continuous improvement. You will build strong relationships throughout the organisation, as well as with external stakeholders and industry professionals.

To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Work, or related discipline with minimum 5 years post qualification experience
  • Post graduate study or professional development in mental health is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and program management preferably in the Youth and/or homelessness sector
  • Demonstrated experience in providing supervision and case management
  • Knowledge of young people, homelessness, housing, mental health, and alcohol and drug addiction
  • Awareness, understanding and experience of delivering safe and appropriate services to people who identify as LGBTQI+
  • Awareness, understanding and experience of delivering appropriate services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, including an awareness of the impact of multi-generational trauma
  • Understanding of the issues relating to family and domestic violence and child abuse/neglect and trauma.
  • Excellent skills in written, oral and interpersonal communication
  • Excellent level of digital literacy and capacity to quickly learn new systems
  • Ability to articulate and reflect upon personal and professional values
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently as required
  • Ability to be innovative, flexible, work independently, demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to lead effectively within a collaborative, multidisciplinary, teamwork setting.

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Drivers Licence, a valid Provide First Aid certificate and a WA Working with Children Check.

Benefits

  • $98,938 - $103,076 full time salary range per annum + 10% superannuation
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
