The role

The Graphic Designer is responsible for managing and design of marketing collateral for HelpingMinds. The occupant will liaise with relevant parties to determine design requirements and advising regarding design style, format, print production and timescales. The occupant will drive the design of digital assets, such as social media imagery, website banners and digital advertising for HelpingMinds.

The Graphic Designer reports to and is directly accountable to the Marketing and Philanthropy Lead and has the capability to provide high quality and effective customer service, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the wider marketing team with all projects and enquiries.

About You

To be considered for this role candidates will need to have the below essential qualifications and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND LICENCES

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or working towards a qualification in graphic design with a minimum of 3 years’ professional graphic design experience; and
  • National Police Clearance (no older than 6 months).
  • Compliance with COVID vaccination requirements

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient in the use of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator;
  • Creative ability to design marketing collateral such as flyers, posters and booklets and design digital assets for campaigns;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to design Word templates and PowerPoint presentations;
  • Experience working with WordPress and the ability to upload events and images to the website;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to meet all brief and project requirements.;
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships;

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Strong written communication skills with an ability to edit content for marketing collateral;
  • Experience working as part of a marketing team within the Not-for-Profit sector;
  • You will be designing for diverse audiences inclusive of vulnerable people. An affiliation with mental health or a basic understanding mental health stigma is highly regarded.

Remuneration and Benefits include:

  • Base salary $64,487 - $67,367 (pro rata) per annum (depending on experience) + 10% superannuation
  • Generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum
  • Flexible, family friendly working arrangements
  • Four weeks annual leave (pro rata) with 17.5% leave loading
  • Two additional wellness days per year to support your own mental health
