Your Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our team working at our Bayswater site and in community. You will work in a transdisciplinary team to assess and develop plans for therapeutic supports for our customers ranging from early intervention through to young adults.
A day in the life of a Speech Pathologist
- Design and implement intervention programs with the support of a supervisor for individuals with Autism in both 1:1 and/or group environments
- Document all assessment and intervention information, including therapy reports to be consistent with Aruma policies and best practice
- Contribute to education sessions for families, team members and community members to improve outcomes for individuals with an Autism
- Attend and contribute to regular discipline specific meetings
- Contribute to discipline specific and assist as required with Aruma wide planning and evaluation of services
- Participate in clinical supervision and mentoring sessions
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities as required
- Display a strong commitment to self-directed learning
- Undertake ongoing professional development to work towards the roles core competencies
About you

- Speech Therapy Qualification and eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Therapy Australia
- Eligibility for Medicare provider number
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage conflict resolution and problem-solve.
- Awareness of the principles of family centred practice
- Commitment to providing services to people from diverse language/cultural backgrounds
- Beginner - Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Outlook
