About the role
We are looking for experienced, reliable, committed, compassionate and empathetic Disability Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.
More specifically, the role may involve, support residents in residential houses, SIL accommodation setting, social support, transportation to medical appointments, recreational activities and supporting participants with complex needs.
It could also involve personal care, light domestic duties and assistance with meal preparation.

The Ideal Candidate
You will have the following:
- Professional or personal experience supporting and/or caring for a person with a disability
- Minimum Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
- Experience with and willingness to providing personal care support
- Flexible availability & a long-term commitment
Essential Criteria
To be considered, you MUST have:
- An understanding of disability and community services sector
- Relevant qualifications and/or knowledge and experience
- Minimum 1 year industry experience
- Comprehensive understanding of NDIS
- Ability to actively navigate and adapt to change
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong administration skills
- Valid Victorian Driver License
- Current First Aid (Valid for three years)
- Current CPR
- Current National Police Check (Valid for one year)
- International Police Check (if you have lived overseas in the last 10 years in any one country for longer than 12 months)
- Identification check
- Current Working with Children's Check
- Disability Worker Exclusion List Clearance
- Minimum two referee check
- Commitment to working within the legislative framework and the organisations policies and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
