About the role

Reporting to Head of Retail, the role is responsible for enhancing the strategic and long-term approach to management of retail property and assets. This involves working day to day with key retail staff and internal property team to oversee and manage the retail property portfolio, including but not limited to, leasing, maintenance and operational related issues.

Working in a time sensitive environment, this is a proactive role that will secure and maintain the retail assets to achieve best possible financial, commercial and risk outcomes. The role will lead a review of the retail property portfolio and assist in making recommendations for best direction to enhance financial, compliance, geographical representation and logistic outcomes from the property portfolio.

The role demands a strong retail operations and financial knowledge and focus, to ensure retail metrics are provided in an efficient and effective manner and aligned with retail strategic goals.

What you will bring

  • Proven experience in Property leasing,  project management, resource management and the ability to deliver results in a matrix management environment
  • Demonstrated experience in store design and development
  • Ability to work cooperatively with multiple internal and external stakeholders concerning property, legal and finance to achieve required commercial outcomes
  • A self-starter with proven ability to operate effectively at an individual level and as part of broader team
  • Demonstrated experience of third-party negotiation utilising a consultative approach to decision making
  • Extensive understanding and experience of specialty retail operations and compliance issues
