About the role

Australian Red Cross Migration Programs provide humanitarian assistance to migrants, asylum seekers, refugees, people in immigration detention, people who are stateless, people who are trafficked or subject to forced marriage, and separated family members, according to their humanitarian needs. 

The Red Cross Family and Domestic Violence Financial Assistance program supports referrals and, where specialist agencies are unable to help, provides short-term casework support.

In this new role, you will build collaborative relationships and partnerships with the family violence sector to support their understanding of the needs and barriers facing temporary visa holders experiencing family violence. The position will also provide operational support for the consistent roll out and delivery of projects through implementation of existing tools and resources.

About you

  • Ability to build strong customer and client relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions. Take ownership and identify solutions rather than waiting for others to take the lead
  • Ability to achieve the best outcomes by bringing people together to work towards common goals (both internally and with external partners)
  • Demonstrated sound experience in project management, including program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Sound understanding and ability to apply specialist expertise of the issues affecting people impacted by migration, their vulnerabilities, needs and strengths
  • Experience in working with and supporting volunteers and/or members
  • Driver's License and Working with Children are mandatory requirements for this role

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $82,063.28 FTE + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
