The opportunity / About the role 

The primary focus for this role is to assist deliver and coordinate the Telecross service to older adults who are socially isolated and receiving Commonwealth Home Support Services.

The role consists of service delivery, volunteer coordination and customer service by providing support to our substantive staff members. The casual Telecross Officer will be available to cover staff leave, increase in service delivery and public holidays.

You may be requested to be available on weekends or public holidays from 7am – 11am.

What you will bring 

• Experience working collaboratively with volunteers and clients
• Availability to work on weekends and public holidays as required
• Flexibility in work environment and ability to work as a remote team member
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including clients, volunteers, Red Cross staff and emergency services staff
• Capacity to work with database and excel spreadsheets
