Outline & Purpose of Role:

Australia for UNHCR is an international aid agency that raises funds from the private sector to support the humanitarian operations of the UN Refugee Agency. Established in 2000 as part of a global fundraising network, it raised over $260 million from a broad network of individuals, community and corporate partners.

The Digital Marketing Coordinator has responsibility for coordinating planning and execution of our externally based paid digital fundraising marketing program. The role includes acting as the liaison point for internal and external stakeholders, leading on campaign/channel performance monitoring and reporting for all digital channels (web, social, email, sms, mobile), and providing recommendations to improve digital fundraising performance based on insights derived from data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate relationship and activities with external media agencies, including digital media publishers, agencies and advertising platform providers, and internal UNCHR suppliers and agencies
  • Act as primary administrator of Google Analytics, GTM (Google Tag Manager) and Umbraco CMS web donation tracking program
  • Oversee set up of event and activity tracking codes for all campaign activities conducted by external media agencies and internal users
  • Define goals for income generating activities and report against baseline data and industry benchmarks
  • Coordinate multichannel activities across different teams to help deliver fundraising targets
  • Review donor data and activity to identify patterns and behaviours we can use to improve the donor experience
  • Increase internal awareness and understanding of the digital donor journey lifecycle and key donor metrics
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments and help create digital content aligned with team level objectives
  • Undertake any other projects as required and instructed by the Digital Marketing Manager
  • Support the A4U Emergency Strategy as required

The successful application will possess the following attributes:

Essential

  • Tertiary qualification in digital media, fundraising, business, marketing, ecommerce, technology or related, relevant area
  • Prior experience in digital marketing, campaign management, account management, project management, business process reengineering, ecommerce, media advertising, data analytics or similar role
  • 4+ years prior experience implementing integrated multichannel digital marketing campaigns for digital fundraising programs across web, social, mobile, sms and email channels
  • 4+ years’ experience managing media agencies executing paid digital marketing and advertising campaigns
  • Proven ability to analyse and interpret financial performance data

Desirable

  • Prior experience running ecommerce programs and campaigns, including coordination of all paid advertising and media
  • Professional experience in fundraising and/or not-for-profit sector.
  • Previous experience using multichannel income attribution models and successfully running digital donor acquisition and retention programs
