Australia for UNHCR is an international aid agency that raises funds from Australian donors to support the humanitarian operations of the UN Refugee Agency. Established in 2000 as part of a global fundraising network it has now raised more than $400 million from a broad network of individuals, community and corporate partners.
Reporting to the Senior Media and Communications Manager, this role works closely with other members of the Communications team, with the primary focus being to edit compelling videos for Australia for UNHCR’s social media pages, website, events and internal communications. The person in this role will focus on sourcing and editing video for our social media pages, but also be involved in creating videos for events and fundraising communications. The role is also responsible for the management and filing of videos and photos.
This role requires someone experienced in producing content for social media and understanding of social media trends, including solid experience in editing video, particularly with Premier Pro, who can work both independently and collaboratively to provide consistent content and messaging across all platforms and fulfil organisational video requirements, and ideally also be able to shoot video.
The ideal candidate will approach work with integrity, initiative, creativity and internal motivation to raise awareness of refugees and displaced people.
