Australian Lutheran World Service (ALWS) is the aid and development agency of the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA). For over 70 years ALWS and its partners have been bringing love to life around the world, by providing life-sustaining care to those suffering or fleeing from poverty, injustice, and disaster.
ALWS seeks an experienced, organised, and motivated person to join our Programs Team. This full-time position covers a broad range of duties including managing an allocated country program, providing support across all ALWS country programs, and leading ALWS’ policy on Counter-Terrorism. The location for this position is Albury but can be negotiated.
ALWS invites applications from qualified and experienced applicants who are committed to serving the world’s poor and marginalised through a global network of partners. The applicant should have experience with development partnerships overseas and engaging with project design, monitoring, and evaluation processes. Knowledge or experience in cross-cutting issues such as social inclusion including gender and disability inclusion, safeguarding, environment, and climate will be an advantage. This role involves annual overseas travel for up to three weeks at a time.
ALWS personnel are required to undertake a robust screening process, regular Criminal Record Checks and sign and abide by the ALWS Code of Conduct (accessible on the ALWS website) and safeguarding policies.
